Sheila Baroro (Pronouns: She/Her) CPA, CGA, PMP

Sheila is a finance expert and passionate leader with extensive experience in corporate and not-for-profit organizations. With a strong background in Canada’s non-profit and government sectors, she has held key leadership roles, including Director of Finance and Administration at Elizabeth Fry Toronto and Central Toronto Youth Services, where she managed Finance, HR, Facilities, IT, and Administration. Her experience also spans organizations such as The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC), Public Health Ontario (PHO), and various non-profit and private sector organizations in Canada and the Philippines.

Having migrated from the Philippines to Toronto 20 years ago, Sheila understands firsthand the challenges of starting over in a new country. Growing up with financial scarcity, she developed resilience, resourcefulness, and the ability to shift her mindset to create new opportunities. Her journey of rebuilding shaped her deep understanding of financial empowerment—not just as a technical skill but as a transformational mindset shift that leads to lasting change.

A strong advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Sheila is passionate about breaking financial barriers for women. Through Rise and Rebuild Academy, she combines her financial expertise with a trauma-informed and holistic approach to financial coaching. She is committed to empowering women and individuals facing financial challenges, including those navigating new beginnings, overcoming adversity, and striving for financial stability.
